the reason why i consider it an ed is the 100 mg caffeine and sparkling green tea combo extracts 90 mg (EGCG-antioxidants) !!

Enviga is not an ED, it is an enhanced Tea.

Yeah a souped up ice tea with quasi Vault like ED ingredients,
marketed to over weight people. I still predict that Enviga will
tank in the first quarter of 2008.

I haven't been able to find Enviga yet. Is it kept with the teas or is it with the sodas? Or the energy drinks?

I guess it hasn't hit the Sunshine State yet.

I tasted my first at Duane Reade (DR is like a CVS or Walgreens here in NYC). $0.99 for all flavors.

I really think it tastes great and with the relatively low sticker shock it should be a winner. The only minor criticism I have is the name sounds like an ED pharmaceutical ("ED"-Erectile Dysfunction, not Energy Drink.)

Enviga is limited to the NYC metro and Philadelphia metro markets until February 2007.

Ahhhhhh, thanks, fusion. It's been driving me crazy. I'll wait until the new year.

Which means Jax won't get it until May.

Did you see the news today? Coke and Nestle are being sued over Enviga's supposedly "fraudulent calorie burning claims." If it seems too good to be true it probably is...

I caught that yesterday. I was too busy to post about it. IMO...Coke may really have screwed themselves. It appears that the science does not support the "claim".

Greg what do you think about this? smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

I don't know how much this will hurt the integrity of the brand. Obviously their whole sales pitch and marketing message is out the window! I wonder how many people tried it because of its supposed calorie burning ability or because it was a new tea product that they wanted to try. I wonder what will the new marketing pitch be??

I think that it will sell good because of the calorie burning in it.

I live in the West and I managed to get my hands on some. **WINK WINK**

They are going to have 3 flavors and 2 packages.

--Berry
--Peach
--Green Tea

I like all of them.

ANY NEWS from the ENVIGA CAMP ?

Does it do what it says ? Burn calories or is it a marketing stunt by Coca-Cola !!

I saw a news special this morning on Enviga. It was not positive to say the least. It actually broke down the negative calories it claims to have and computed its cost versus weightloss ability.
Considering that 3500 Calories make up one pound it would take the retail equivalent of $135.00 worth of Enviga to lose one pound of body weight. This was done on a lab situation basis only. That means they didn't take inot effect someone actually eating throughout the day and the calories the y expend while doing it.

What a CROCK!

Another Coke product that IMO is dead in the water....again, just not well thought out.
