Good News & Bad News. Good News: Pepsi & Sierra Mist in glass. Bad News: Not 12oz like rumored and not all sugar as promised. Pepsi did not use the Pepsi Natural or Sierra Mist Essence as rumored. They are being bottled at facility (PK) (Says Independant Bottlers). They have crown twist-off caps. I will post some pictures sometime this weekend most likely Sunday.

Are you sure this isn't separate from Pepsi Natural/Sierra Mist Essence?

I'm not sure of anything, but I can't see them releasing these two flavors in glass now and also Natural & Essence. I'll guess we will have to wait and see.

Hey I am near Indianapolis. Where have you found the 10oz glass. I have found 10oz glass pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Mountain Dew at a Kroger grocery store here in Dayton (2115 E. DOROTHY LANE, KETTERING, OH 45420). Let us know where you have found any of these 10oz glass. Thanks for the update.

Old VS. New! Left A.D Huesing Davenport's last cane sugar run bottle (12oz.) & returnable. On the right the new 10oz. swirl non-returnable. Note that the old 10oz. returnables were the same height as the 12oz. returnables. The old 10oz. bottles were not as fat as the old 12oz.

Those are a lot different then the ones that we have around here. The ones here are short and fat.

The short and fat ones are the deli bottles. The ones I want are the tall 10 ouncers for my coke machine. How much are they? Do they sell by the case orsix pack?

Uh, was there supposed to be a picture to go with that description?

Thanks for the pics.... the Pepsi looks just like the ones tested out last year in Michigan. The ones that Dr Galaga posted this picture of:

those are the same bottles that were used for the Florida Gators bottles last year. Are the labels painted on or decaled?

I'll try posting that picture that I'd tried to earlier. They were sold as singles in a small Hispanic market. I will take note of the name and post that and address later. They were being sold for $1 each. The labels are like a decal. I don't have any idea where they were produced or if they are available anywhere else around me. I'll keep checking things out amd ask my Pepsi Rep. at work.

Are those bottlecaps twist-off or pry off?

They are twist-off, at least the ones we had in Michigan last year. This is cool, I'm glad they are seeing the light of day. I've heard rumors of molds being made for Dew bottles also but have never seen any confirmation.

Glass bottle Crush (Orange, Grape, Strawberry) can be found at any Wal Mart Supercenter in the United States. Depending on where you are in Texas, you can buy glass bottle Dr Pepper made with pure cane sugar. Where in Texas are you?

Where are they available. All over the country or only in certain geographic regions?

I'm in the Dallas area. I think I may have seen them in Wal-Mart before (crush, etc). Have any of you gotten them at a better price from a distributor? I've got a 60's Pepsi machine that I'm looking to put them into. A refrigeration tech is coming to the house Friday afternoon to make sure everything is up to snuff (it's a LaCrosse machine).

I was hoping to find the bottles from a distributor to buy them in larger quantity & save a bit of money as well.

What about the ads that were shown with the new glass Pepsi bottle - where are those being sold currently?

This is the thread that Dr. Galaga first posted that advert... it's old though, 15 months ago.

http://www.bevnet.com/bevboard/bevboard-general/26274-new-10-oz-glass-pepsi.html

(I'm still barely clinging to hope that these ones seen right now are something separate from the Pepsi Natural rumoured to be happening later this year. And that these are just a continuation of what they already had going.)

Well I think if this were replacing the Essence line they would have a newer Sierra Mist logo on those bottles-so I wouldn't get to upset just yet, I will try to remember to ask about it next time I see a Regional mgr.

Pepsi is really missing the boat on this one. There really is a demand for pop in bottles. They need to roll these out nationwide to compete with the 8 oz cokes. PS my pop machine would love to have them

Hey everyone...thanks for the tips...I asked around at a local Mexican centric grocery store & the manager gave me a suggestion to contact a wholesaler in Dallas.

I went down there today & got a 24 pack of Pepsi in 16oz bottles for $24! My Pepsi machine & I appreciate everyone greatly!!!!

I would still like to find a distributor that I could get soda for the whole machine for though!

Hey thanks again for the information I was able to find it on my way. I also found Mexican Coke in the cooler. The thing that I found interesting about the pepsi and sierra mist is that it appears to be the same formula as american pepsi and sierra mist. I wonder why they do not just sell these glass bottles every where. But again thanks for the address.
