View Full Version : New Doctor in Town!

It was a weird day for me today, lol, I went to 7-11 to pick up a drink and came across two new finds. I found a Dr. Denali, by Admiral Beverage Group. I was hesitant to pick it up, but was glad I did!!! It was great! I am almost willing to say just as good as Dr.Pepper! But, this had more of a fruity flavor to it than Dr. Pepper does, but it was a great alternative! After I went to the sev, I stopped by Albertson's and they had 12-packs of Dr. Denali, so I asked the guy stocking the stuff about it and he said its a new release by the guys at 7-Up. Interesting. The packaging is very plain and simple so you might not notice it at first. But I suggest if you find it, to give it a whirl!

Also, when I was at 7-11 I noticed a new Jolly Rancher soda. The flavor was Cherry Cinnamon Fire Blast.

I did not try that, it just didn't sound appealing.

I was going to take a pic of the Denali but I forgot once I finished it, next time I grab a bottle I'll get a pic for you all.

I, too, picked up a 12-pack from Harmon's the other day. I posted a question about it, since I had never heard of it, but apparently nobody else had either. I wonder if it's just a local thing (I'm in West Jordan). I tried one and I'd agree it you - it was great - tasted just like Dr. Pepper, but, of course, I haven't had a Dr. Pepper in awhile so I can't say for sure. Good stuff, though. I'm glad I picked some up!

Wait.. is it owned by Admiral or Cadbury?

Buffalo Rock Pepsi has something similar in their territory in the southeast, called Dr. Wham.

The bottling group on the top says Admiral. On the side bottle it says its bottled out of Pleasant View, Utah.

Usually one of the best ways to tell is to look at the UPC. The first five digits will indicate the manufacturer's code.

49000 = Coke
12000 = Pepsi
78000 = Cadbury

and so on. There are exceptions, of course.. some of the Cadbury products still use the UPC they were assigned before Cadbury bought them out.. and Coke uses 72979 on Seagram's, 25000 on Minute Maid. Pepsi has 39510 on Sobe.

Well, since Admiral runs Dr Pepper where I'm at, I don't expect to see this one around here.

Yeah....I sampled Dr Wham a while back.
For sure it was the best DP "clone" I have tasted to date.
