Just wondering if anyone has pictures of creative soda displays they have built over the years... or any pictures from your stores that vendors did a good job on?

Every year I do the 2liter christmas tree's... occasionally I get lucky and put up an RC flag display... just wondering what everyone else has done I'll try to dig up some pictures.

Valentine's hearts
Halloween pumpkins
Baltimore Ravens logos
18 wheeler trucks
Santa chairs with fireplaces

The most common seem to be football stadiums and basketball courts, though.

I have built numerous creative displays in my many years. I have built root beer mugs, castles, vehicles (cars, trucks, boats), Christmas trees, footballs & basketballs (both the actual balls and the field/ courts), bridges extending over hot tubs, an x wing fighter and a land cruiser, among many others.

Anymore though as I get on in my years, creative displays are too much trouble qand too time consuming for no more than what can be purchased from them. Now-a-days if it isn't pallet drops or straight endcaps I pretty much do not mess with even putting them up.

I have copies of Dr Pepper's Clockdial that has photos of displays and the instructions on how to build them. Too bad I can't post photos.

What types of displays are mentioned, drpep?

Ohh you had to ask. The mags are buried in my spare room. I do remember a football stadium display and built in the shape of an automobile. I'll dig them out.
I getting to the point where I going to have someone show me how to put photos on the internet. I have none of the equipment needed to do it so I hope the library is set up.

i made a sweet castle-like thing out of miller lite and genuine draft fridgepacks. you can play jenga with fridgepacks and make even 20 cases look like thirty. makes for impactful/creative c-store displays.

hi everyone.

Speaking of american flags, when I ran the commissary at the local AFB I built a large can display that read "welcome home troops" in the backdrop. I have never built a flag though.

I built a tailgate theme display in an indy. It was about 15 pallets. It was a square shape with two walls around 25 feet high. One wall spelled out Roll Tide and the other War Eagle. The other two sides was around 8 feet high with every possible flavor we had having two facings shoppable. It honestly took up their whole deli space and was around 100 by 100. In the middle of square was the tailgate scene, with the grill, the chips, the bread, etc, and an honest to go pickup truck for the tailgating. We brought the truck it at night when the score closed. I wish I could find the disk for the pics. It stayed up all football season. It took all day to build ,as well to take down. Man them indys are nice where they have the freedom to do as they want.:)

Here is one that one of my friends did at two of the local Publix stores for the new soccer coke promotions that Coke is doing.

It's an oversized discount store that is slated to go supercenter in the future - they have a good amount of extra floor space. This is the area that they generally set up Christmas trees, lawnmowers, grills, stuff like that in.

That second one is the Santa picture taking display at a Wal-Mart. And the funny thing is, when we built one of those in our stores, I said that chair would go perfectly in it! lol.

We don't have any of those fireplace standups, though.

And I didn't know 18 packs were "big can."

We've been getting the holiday Coke Zero fridgepacks for probably three weeks now.
