Does it say they are from the US?

Does it say they are from the US?

In the site says that, plus U.S. and Canada are the two only markets where the word "zero" has that script... and they can't be from Canada because the Coke cans from there have the net weight in "mL", not in "fl. oz."...

Seems to me like Coke might be making an intentional turn away from by-the-numbers nostalgia here. They've reshaped the little glasss NR bottles a couple of years ago, they've reshaped the PET plastic, they went with those "1899" bottles right now, which, while nostalgic, aren't something that anyone actually remembers enough to push the mental nostalgia button. And now these little aluminum bottles. All in all, it seems to me they are trying to refine their image maybe - maybe trying to make the consumer public's memory of the classic Coke bottle design somewhat "fuzzier".

i disagree a little.

i think the new designs are still reminiscent of the "classic bottle" design... just with a new "twist". i think this is actually being used to spark renewed interest in sodas... and, from the reactions on here, it seems to be working.

i'd definitely buy little aluminum bottles like those above if i were throwing a little party or something. they're "cute" and a bit of an icebreaker.

does anyone know the dimensions of those bottles? (can we call them bottles? they're really more like contour cans, right?)

Now if I can find a case of each....

2007-6340 is the GAN (Graphic Art Number) and the number being in the 6,000's means it was made in the latter part of the year, where did you find these?

I heard they were test marketed in restaurants in Atlanta

Today's (mon) USA Today has a three page ad from Coke in the money section. The first page shows the 8oz glass bottle and a paragraph about the "many ways to enjoy Coke". The next two pages show the 8oz can of Classic Coke, a can of Caffeine Free Diet Coke, a Zero can, Can of Diet Coke Plus and the "New aluminum bottle". The bottle pictured has a screw off top like the 2 liter bottles.

Yeah, the World of Coke Atlanta had these as well, so maybe the Las Vegas store has these now? I don't know how new they are to the store.

Cool! I'll be at the Atlanta store in April. I just wish they'd make a Coke Zero hat or t-shirt! Is that asking too much?

I saw them on South Street in Philadelphia, in a restaurant called Steaks on South. They had 8oz glass Coke, Sprite, and Diet Coke, and the 8.5oz aluminum bottles as well (only classic). $1.50 each.
