I'm going here next weekend, from Columbus to Huntsville, should I be able to find anything rare or such (Cherry RC, Cherry Ski, Hires, Sun Drop Cherry Lemon, anything?)

:)

I found some Cheerwine near Athens and Huntsville back in June. Outside of that I couldn't find any Cherry R/C, which is what i was really seeking.

Alright, so yesterday I left at 7 am for Birmingham/Huntsville/Athens area. I decided to take my brother along, thought it would take my mind off the driving.

Anyways, first we stopped at the Money Back in Cataula, GA for a 16oz Camo VAULT for 69 cent.

Then we were off for Birmingham, first we stopped at a Piggly Wiggly and Foodland 10-20 miles outside of Opelika, AL-- nothing special.

Finally stopped in at a Food World and found Sundrop, Diet Sundrop, Squirt, and Big Red. We kept going and stopped at the Piggly Wiggly in Childersburg, AL which was pretty good, we found Orange Nehi, Grape Nehi, Big Red, and we also found a shelf tag for Nehi Blue Cream.

Then we were off to two or three Wal-Marts from Childersburg to Birmingham and found a few things like 8oz cans of RC, Big Red, A&W, etc. Oh, we also found Nehi Strawberry 2L and 4pk's of Java Monster

Once we got into Birmingaham we stopped at the Race Trac on US-280 and found some (old?) 7-up Plus which had really faded tops and some glass with screw-on tops.

Then we when up to Brunos at The Summit and got some Delaware Punch and Sprite Glass. BTW, when to the Exxon station across the street and bought a 12oz can of Delaware Punch, didn't taste too good.

Then we jumped on I-459 over to I-65 and when up to Exit 310 Cullman, AL (my favorite city of the trip) and stopped to get some gas found 12oz cans of Sundrop, Diet Sundrop, CF Sundrop and Diet CF Sundrop as well as 20oz cone bottles of Sundrop and Diet Sundrop and my new favorite Cherry Lemon Sundrop. Also, CF Diet Sundrop which was imported from Mellow Moon (blue tops). So, I went over to the Warehouse Discount next door and could only find 1 6-pk ($2.50) of the Cherry Lemon.

I also saw 6-pk 20oz bottles, which I had never seen before. They not only had Sundrop but they had ALL the Pepsi products including Dr. Pepper like this. This is the point in the trip that Sun Drop got so big, it was un-real.

After this we go back on I-65 and went up/over to Madison and ate at my favorite pizza place, Donatos Pizza. After this we jumped up to Exit 351 to Athens to the Wal-Mart (that slurm told me about) and I was just amazed at all the Sun Drop. I also saw 7up, Sundrop and Diet Sundrop in 12oz 8pk bottles like the Coke products (from Huntsville Coke)

At this point, it was getting late so we started back down to Columbus. We stopped at the Wal-Mart in Cullman on the way back that I had looked up over dinner and they were stocked full of Cherry Lemon Sundrop, so we bought their stock. $3.58 a 12/pk. I wish they were on sell like the other places we had gone, blah.

We stopped at Exit 256A/B on I-65 at the Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market and Food World and found that Buffalo Rock had just released Diet Cherry Chocolate Dr. Pepper, and man oh man was it nasty. Also found Delaware Punch with the new logo.

I have to say, of all the small road trips that I've taken before, I've never found so much that I didn't have. Well, after riding in the car for like 8 hours, Im tired.

Oh yeah, I was going to tell you that. I saw Coke Mexico website had that logo, and when I saw it in stores I thought it looked the same. Thanks for noticing! :)

I got the chance to finally taste delaware punch recently but it was in the old style package. You mention the mexican coke website, what is the link to their site?

Yeah, the Delaware Punch that I found was and bought was the old logo.

Well, I'm not sure it was the Coca-Cola site, but it was here : FEMSA | Business Units Brands (http://www.femsa.com/en/business/brands.htm)

Neat finds. Thanks for the updates. I like that pic with the Buffalo Rock ginger ale peeking out. That's some strong stuff that we can't get here in Houston. :(

It is good. It is nothing like Schweppes or Canada Dry because it contains more ginger. Some people on this board hate it.

It's pretty good, although I think it's an acquired taste. It's totally unique and my friends here in Houston that I gave some too all had the same reaction. It burns your nose on the first taste!
