View Full Version : What happened to Got Milk? Ads?

Remember the milk -staches? Such genius marketing, and made you wanna flip the page and see which celeb would be featured next. Not around for a bit, but the California Milk Processor Board has a new approach to milk advertising. And it's pretty hilarious.

A fake band called "White Gold" and the "Calcium Twins" singing ballads like "Heard it through the Bovine" and "PMS (POur the Milk Sister). It's fake in the sense that they're not a serious band, but totally real music and they even created a backstory!

Getting big on MySpace. What do we think?

Hmm liquidlunch, I guess you really don't eat solids for lunch. Walk in to Subway right now for a $5 footlong and you'll see a cutout Jarred with a milkstache trying to sell you milk out of the cooler while you are waiting in line for a sandwich.

It's all over the web. R&B hottie Rhiana is featured in a current campaign on the Yahoo network - new spin showing the artists in action in their element with the Milkstache.

Muscle Milk and Whey Protein took over uggghhhh!

Eek, I'm scared of those protein-enhanced milk products. Normal milk is great as it is, naturally. I'll take a tall glass of that please.

Plus, c'mon, the Muscle Milk doesn't have the spoofy band making music videos for it (http://www.youtube.com/user/WhiteGoldISWhiteGold). (There's a new one, so brace yourself)

Does it make you wanna wear an animal skin loin cloth? Oh, wow. The new White Gold video, Tame the White Tiger, has really outdone itself.

Haha, as cut as White Gold the lead singer? DOUBTFUL! I wish I was as graceful as the Calcium Twins. Maybe the next time I'm standing in front of the mirror after a cold glass of milk, I'll practice back-ups.
