Has anyone else seen this? It appears to be a new product, but Gatorade's web site is one of the least updated in the commercial beverage world. The Bring It variety (which I found at a WaWa in Grape, so can't comment if there are other flavors) is different in that it also contains "Vitamin B (B3 B5 & B6) to Help Release Energy". I looked at some gatorade ingrediant lists online, and it seems this is different from the norm. Anyone have any info about this, or found the product where you are? Any other flavors?

You Decide: Logos for Pepsi, Gatorade and Mtn. Dew - mediabistro.com: AgencySpy (http://www.mediabistro.com/agencyspy/brands/you_decide_logos_for_pepsi_gatorade_and_mtn_dew__9 8378.asp)

I found this one article, but the details are few and rather vague.

Wow, dumb.

Hahaha, exactly. Although that looks better than the new logo for the regular line of Gatorade flavors.

Shine On? Be Strong? Bring It?

Ugly names.

I just picked up an 8pk of 20oz Gatorade Lemon Lime.
Short and sweet, I have been drinking Gatorade since the
70's, I really hate this new design. It's hard to read and has
very little shelf appeal.

Here's a story from our very own site about the "Be Strong" variety, which appears to be some sort of protein shake:

Gatorade Unleashes New Attitude, Enhanced Beverages (http://mnr.onthescene.com/Gatorade/g.html)

This press release above explains it all, and the new bottles are located here:

Gatorade Unleashes New Attitude, Enhanced Beverages (http://mnr.onthescene.com/Gatorade/g_imagelibrary.html)

and the chart here explains all the vitamin content:

I witnessed the Blueberry Pomegranate G2 at the local Acme in fact earlier this week, but only in the 8-pk.

So I'll need a chart to figure out Gatorade? No thanks.

Had the Blueberry Pomegranate G2 today. It's fantastic. Real fruity aftertaste, yet still refreshing, and probably the second-least diety tasting of the now 5 G2 offerings (the Lemon Lime is solid as well). I don't know if a flavor like this can be a big hit (simple flavors are usually the most popular Gatorades), but it will be an easy grab for me.

Here are the teaser commercials for the new Gatorade image... Michael Jordan, Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods, Muhammad Ali, Serena Williams, Derek Jeter and some other athletes and personalities appear on this ads:

Those commercials are awful "Whats G?" it reminds me of "Homie G" and that hip hop crap.
They had one of the most recognizable logo in the orange bolt, they dont even have to put the word gatorade on the bottle, just the damn bolt and people know its gatorade, but now all of a sudden lets have a G with a tiny bolt in it? stupid pepsi just like most of the label changes they have made.
I think i'll drink powerade more, as I don't need a stupid tagline on my bottle (Shine on? WTF)

So is the new the new commericial with Lil Wayne narrating a Gatorade commericial? I've been wondering what "G" meant in this commericial since there is no pic or reference to Gatorade, just "G". I thought it was just some new gangster add. Seems like poor marketing to me.

I saw that commercial last night. WTF (pardon my French) what's with
Pepsico lately. Are their add agencies suffering a creative recession? :(

According to the official press release from Pepsi on the "G" campaign, here's some corporate-speak explanation:
The centerpiece of the "G" Manifesto campaign is a series of signature television spots that show how Gatorade is connecting to a broader range of athletes and active people. In a Gatorade context, "G" is the heart, hustle and soul of athleticism and is a badge of pride for anyone who sweats, no matter where they are active.

The "G" campaign brings together 29 legends, representing 18 sports, who have made their mark on sports and culture over the past six decades, and captures them in a dramatic black and white style by acclaimed film director Spike Lee. Another stand-out feature of the commercials is the narration which is provided by hip-hop sensation, Lil' Wayne.

IMHO
G= not going to work as planned.
Going, going, gone....we drink Gatorade to feel "unified" with the
greater sports world. LMAO
