I'm not into either Halo or World of Warcraft, but I loved Mountain Dew Game Fuel and was psyched about its return. Today I spotted both the original and the new blue flavor. The original of course was as good as I remembered. The blue one, as some suspected, tastes similar to Revolution, but has a somewhat more intense fruit flavor and an aftertaste similar to original GF. Thumbs up to both.

So has anyone seen/tried it yet? The interactive site has gone live, and prizes have started "dropping" as of this past Friday, so it certainly suggests that the drinks are available somewhere.

It is hitting the shelves in OKC on Monday, not sure if just local or if a nat'l date of release.

Hi all, I guess this is my first post here. Been lurking for some time now. Anyway, both flavors are available in the Boston area, found both at the Tedeschi in Allston and the original Game Fuel only at the Cleveland Circle 7-11. Can't remember Revolution well enough to compare the Alliance flavor to that one, but it had an artificial berry-type flavor that I didn't find terribly agreeable. The color's quite striking and will hang out on your tongue for a while. The red one's about what you'd expect if you had Game Fuel last year.

I don't think I'll be picking up the blue one again, especially not while Voltage is out, but I do like the original Game Fuel in small doses, I guess. Wake me up when Pitch Black comes back around. ;)

20oz for both flavors came out in our area last saturday for a few supermarket chains..everything authorized in all our accounts this week including 12oz cans. Original game fuel..good as always..the new one wasn't all that spectacular but I liked it.

Spotted it here today in Delaware. Produced at plant CE (Philly), so it should be available in PA as well.

I tried the new one & it was pretty good. But I like the original better.

Gave the Horde Red flavor a test drive (http://www.bevreview.com/2009/06/09/mountain-dew-game-fuel-horde-red/) (and standard tree photo) after finding a bottle here in Chicago. Yup, it's the same as before... but frankly, I find the packaging a tad more scary!

I mean, seriously, which would you rather be staring at when you are digesting some pseudo-cherry flavored drink?

The blue one sort of reminds me of tropical punch Kool-Aid with a dash of leftover Revolution syrup. It's not terrible, but I still think that Voltage is the superior blue Dew.

If only we were so lucky, I am not a Dew drinker, the only one that is out that I can drink in small doses is Voltage. I loved Pitch Black.

Gave the blue Game Fuel a try the other day... really don't like the mouthful of a name like Mountain Dew Game Fuel Alliance Blue (http://www.bevreview.com/2009/06/15/mountain-dew-game-fuel-alliance-blue/). I've seen folks pretty much just call it the 'blue game fuel'. Go figure.

I expected the flavor to be very berry infused, but it was quite muted, to be honest. If you closed your eyes, I'm not sure you'd place that the drink was blue... you might confuse it with Code Red. As for taste, I think it shared some commonalities with last summer's Revolution... but the color was more more vibrant and bold... in a "my tongue is now blue" kind of sense. :)

Lol the orc on the packaging is scary! I work for a marketing company doing the campaign for Mountain Dew and my first taste was from a taster can similar to the one pictured above.

I like the flavors a lot personally, though i am biased toward horde red?(lol I play horde in game).

Here's a link to the microsite (http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com/wow/incoming_earn.php?e=504&url=youcast) for you guys if you'd like to learn more about the product, you can also get in game goodies like a 14 day free trial and a in game pet. You also have the chance to win some cool prizes as well.

My local grocery store still has a dozen or so 12 packs of Game Fuel. I should probably buy them since it'll probably be another year till it comes back (they seem to be doing Game Fuel & Dewmocracy in alternating years).

Horde red disappeared fairly quickly around here once the run was over, but Alliance blue held on a while longer. They ended up putting $1 off coupons on them to get rid of them.

Haha we had it for the mid summer but it dissapeard pretty quick.
Then I went to Ohio and was in an IGA and saw a few boxes (although I was pying attention to the Throwbacks).
Then I tun a corner and theres a HUGE pile of both for $2 a box!
Then I got back to NY and found a random box sitting in a 7-11.

Game Fuel was one of my unfortunate "load 'em up while I can get 'em" drinks, to be regretted later. I stared at those 12-packs sitting around in my pantry for months and months before I finally made it through them. I have to remind myself not to panic every time there is a "limited edition" beverage up for grabs. "Limited Edition" does not always translate into "tastes like a million bucks!"

This was how I felt at first when I loaded up on UltraViolet. When I first saw it, 12 packs were on sale 6 for $11, so I got twelve of the 12 packs.

The first can was incredibly underwhelming, and I dreaded having another 143 cans of it. But oddly enough, I soon began really liking it, so it worked out well enough in the end.
