Here, I attached the picture. It's a new "tropical mandarin" flavor with B vitamins and extra caffeine. This sounds like it could be good... any word on when it will be available?

I had a real live bottle that I was going to post. Told April was release date. The sample I had did not thrill me.

I guess a link is better than nothing.

I'll bust it open later and give a report.

How much more caffeine are we talking about here?

Tropical Mandarin sounds good but why do they think they need to load it up with caffeine? Is everyone a pathetic caffeine addict these days? Do the producers of this stuff think everyone is? It would be nice to drink this kind of stuff and not get loaded up all the time.

My sentiments exactly! I would love it if they would let these drinks "stand on their own two feet" rather than enticing the consumer with added caffeine.

I don't have the bottle with me but I do not recall a caffeine count on the label.

DPS doesn't put the caffeine content on their labels.

The exception being Heritage Dr Pepper

Correct. I realized that after I posted, I should have edited it.

Most of the caffeine content webpages list various DPS products. People are surprised when they hear how much caffeine Sunkist Orange has in it - 41/mg per can. Coke has 35, Pepsi has 38, and Mountain Dew has 55.

So I went to the ACME supermarket today with my sister and they were giving out a free 2 liter of the new sunkist solor fusion!
I got one when I went in, then the lady gave me another one on the way out and gave my sister one...so we have 3 2 liters lol
pretty tasty!

We have this stuff every where around here. I bought a 2L yesterday. Hard to describe the flavor but definitely not anything to get excited about. Nice looking bottle though.

I got a hold of a 12-pack today. On the can the caffeine content is listed as 49mg/12 oz., so just a little more than regular Sunkist (41 mg) and slightly less than a Mtn. Dew - still drinkable for me! It's a mix between mandarin orange flavor and fruit punch. I must say I really enjoyed it and actually liked it better than any of the new Dewmocracy flavors (and I'm a die hard Dew fan). I hope it sticks around for good. Does anyone know if this is a LTO?

The sales sheet I have for Soalr Fusion makes no mention of this being a limited item. I believe it's permanant, unless it fails to sell.

Is this a national release? I still haven't found(what I'm looking for.....) a single bottle of this.

It's actually pretty good, but I didn't taste any mango, nor see it in the description. I'd definitely have it again. For some reason it reminded me of Mt. Dew Livewire.

It may be national, but it is also probably up to the distributor whether they carry it or not. I do know it's fairly hard to find around here, I only occasionally see 2 liters, and once found 20oz, and have yet to find any 12 pack cans.

Who carries the other Sunkist flavors in your area?

Surprisingly, Sunkist Solar Fusion tropical mandarin soda appeared in the Northwest about two weeks ago in 12-packs, 2-liter PET, 20oz-PET. The soda definitely has the mandarin-tangerine flavor, and like most Sunkist products I've tasted, it's pretty good. Caffeine: 49mg/12 fl oz.

Walmart carries everything. As does Fred Meyer(Kroger here), neither store has good pop deals often. Safeway is awful, they don't carry jack. Albertsons is a tiny store, and is very hit and miss.

I have yet to see this anywhere. Will try Walmart again.

I saw it all along my trip through the south, so it does seem to be pretty big. I still don't like it, however.

Finally tracked down a bottle of Solar Fusion at a 7-Eleven the other day. You'd think it would be easier to find, but alas. In any case, "bottle + tree" photo :)

I actually liked Sunkist Solar Fusion quite a bit (http://www.bevreview.com/2010/05/27/sunkist-solar-fusion/). The initial taste is pretty good with the unique mandarin spin. Where it fails is the syrupy aftertaste that is more reminiscent of other orange soft drinks. That was rather disappointing.

On a side note, kudos on the package design, which I thought was really well executed! :)
