I came across two trademark filings (http://www.bevreview.com/2010/03/10/coming-soon-sierra-mist-natural-diet-sierra-mist-natural/) today that had activity in February/March. They would seem to indicate that Sierra Mist Natural & Diet Sierra Mist Natural are closer to reality. Included was this image:

Anyone heard anything on this? There were trademarks originally filed back in 2006 (http://www.bevreview.com/2009/03/16/review-pepsi-natural/) for both "Sierra Mist Natural" and "Sierra Mist Essence", around the same time that Pepsi Natural's marks were being locked down.

I guess I will have to take a look at the packaging on the shelves to see if the natural verbage is there, but I could have sworn sierrea mist just changed packaging in my area to something just like the bright label you posted... so perhaps its already done and if not they are already changing the packaging and waiting to add the word natural later perhaps?

I seen the new 2010 Sierra Mist logo today at the supermarket, big improvement from the 2009 logo. Not sure what design firm created the logo though.

I saw the new Diet Sierra Mist logo today. Definately more noticeable, but maybe too white of a backround.

Some shots of the new Sierra Mist logo (http://www.bevreview.com/2010/02/03/sierra-mist-new-design/) from their official Facebook Page (not to be confused with the mockup for Sierra Mist Natural above)

This drink is a reality. A BevReview reader provided a couple photos that we've published:

http://www.bevreview.com/wp-content/image_sierramistnatural_koval2.jpg (http://www.bevreview.com/2010/08/24/sierra-mist-natural/)

This drink was spotted in Pittsburgh, PA as part of a 12-pack. I've personally not seen it yet, but did provide the thoughts of the reader in our quick review (http://www.bevreview.com/2010/08/24/sierra-mist-natural/).

Found some at my Walmart (Southern Illinois). Pretty tasty. Much better than regular Sierra Mist. I can't even stand that stuff.

The reviews definitely sound encouraging. Perhaps Sierra Mist will end up becoming a close competitor to Sprite now. I'm looking forward to trying both this and the new 7 Up formula - maybe I'll start drinking lemon lime soda on a regular basis again!

I do have to say that although the packaging is pretty nice looking, the predominant use of white makes it look like a diet soda. And to add insult to injury, the new Diet Sierra Mist packaging uses practically the same colors.

Great news for anyone who likes this - I noticed it was available in 24-packs, something which Throwback has never been sold in (in my area). Makes me thing SMN is going to be a regular item in the line-up. Man, I hope it replaces the regular stuff - I'd love to see it in fountains.

Does the "natural" aspect of this mean that it's made with real sugar? We got it in the warehouse this week, but I have yet to give it a try.

Yes, yes, yes. Without any other real knowledge though, I believe it's a very different formula though. Regular Sierra Mist is just plain undrinkable to me. This stuff is awesome.

Oddly, I've noticed the supermarket chains here (Delaware) all seem to have some cases of the Diet in the new packaging (Blue as primary text color, blockier font), and yet none have the Natural available that I believe shares the same packaging design.

If you are in New York, you can find it in Walgreens supermarket.

I found Serria Mist Natural in my local Walgreen's and Jewel Foods.
The Walgreen's only had 2 ltrs.
Jewel Foods had fridge packs, 2 ltrs and 20oz in the main cooler.
I just couldn't get myself to pick up a 20oz and give it a taste.
I still have an nasty memory of when I first tried it. LOL

Walgreens doesn't have a lot of soda, lol. Jewel does though, love that store because of that.

I think it's interesting that Pepsi is so pushing the "Natural" element here that they even went ahead and seemingly changed the green tint in the plastic Sierra Mist bottles. Take a look:

Does this mean that they are discontinuing the original Sierra Mist? For the past couple of weeks I can only find the new Natural. How can they just remove a soda of that magnitude from their lineup? I mean, I like Natural, but I want the original back!

Today at Arby's I noted they had two fountain spouts with the new Sierra Mist logo. While it did not say Natural, it was the newest incarnation of the logo, not the one released earlier this year. If Pepsico is serious about shifting to Sierra Mist Natural only, that should include the fountains, right? If so, how neat is it that there might be a real sugar soda on many fast food fountains? I don't have the refined palate some of you do, so I couldn't tell which one is was just from drinking. Do you guys think I was drinking "the good stuff"?

All Sierra Mist fountain should be switching to natural as the regular old formula SM sells out. Sierra Mist (non natural) is gone, being replaced in all packages with Natural.

Is cranberry splash LTO? The diet version dismantles diet cherry 7-up.

For what it's worth, at pepsiproductfacts.com, if you look up Sierra Mist Natural, it only lists "Bottles and Cans", not a fountain formulation. And if you look up regular Sierra Mist and select "Fountain", it displays an image of a cup with the new Sierra Mist logo (minus "Natural") on it.

Have you seen a new SM BIB in person? I too saw the new fountain sticker at Arby's, but no mention of the word Natural.
