Is this a lime soda and is it still around anywhere?

I would say it's a combination of lime and Bubble Up (if you've ever had that - if not, it's similar to a very sweet Sprite). I loved it - we used to have it around here in glass bottles but I haven't seen it for quite some time. I think you may still be able to special order it online, although I know it's scarce. Good luck!

I bought a glass-bottle 4-pack of Green River at a Food City location in western Virginia a few weeks ago. It is a very sweet drink with a fairly low level of carbonation. It tasted similar to lime Kool-Aid. My kids loved it.

I just bought some in Janesville Wisconsin 4 weeks ago at the Woodmans Grocery store.

Bought a bottle at Fresh Market in Cornelius, NC last week.

Saw it in Super Target about five years ago.

I tried it my first time at Fresh Market. It's a decent drink.

It is bottled by Clover Club in Chicago http://www.glassbottlesoda.org/bottlers/cloverclub.shtml (http://www.glassbottlesoda.org/bottlers/cloverclub.shtml) . All I can get in my area are the larger plastic bottles.

Best way I can think of to describe the flavor is that it taste like a green lolly-pop. It is that flavor of "lime," and not so much like the lime flavor of other drinks. I love it myself, but have not had any in a while.
