View Full Version : Crush grape/orange -- with sugar instead of HFCS?

At a vending machine I got a bottle of Crush grape and it was quite good, hitting the spot more than usual. Then it hit me the bottle had the white "K" bottlecap that Pepsi uses for the KFP Pepsi. The label still says HFCS but my taste buds say sugar. The label also says it's bottled under DP/7Up which in my area is Coke. So many mixed signals!
I found some 2 liter bottles at my grocery store mixed in with regularly capped bottles. Any evidence these really are made with sugar?

The K indicates it's Kosher, which is entirely different than Kosher for Passover.
This is a good link to explain what is Kosher food.

You'd have to go to Canada to get sugar Crush.
Oh, and the Kosher Pepsi had KP on the caps, not K.

Fair enough; but why the mix of stock with and without the white "K" caps?

My best guess - they use the K caps for products they ship to the city or areas with high concentrations of Jewish population that keep Kosher (observe Kosher practices), but everywhere else they use either cap.
Still the same product, no matter what way you slice it (pun intended).
