View Full Version : The Bottom Of Old 2 Liters...

I've always wondered why old 2 liters had this seperate plastic part at the bottom. Did it serve any real purpose? It looks to me like it would slip off. Never actually seen one, only pictures. Does anyone know?

They were actually glued on. I think they were there to make the bottles slide down gravity feed shelves.

That makes sense. I was also told it was to make it stand up straight.

I remember those from when I was a kid. One day they just kind of went away and I never noticed until years later.
