just 2 names i came up with for some cola-flavored energy drinks.

i mean, i know that coke already has "full throttle" to compete with red bull; but why not tack it's world-famous name onto one of those skinny cans, and just add some extra caffeine and some vitamins?

it seems so obvious.

i believe i read somewhere that pepsi is actually testing this in japan.

and, even though i like C2, there's probably a bigger market for coke and pepsi "energy drinks" than reduced-calorie cola.

Amp is ok, but tastes nothing like Mt. Dew.

But I agree that there need to be more cola-flavored energy drinks.

Even BevNET themselves said that the cola taste does very well in hiding some of the flavor-pitfalls of energy drinks.

We all know that Coke makes Full Throttle(which is pretty good, btw), but I would say that the average consumer does not, so...

If you slap on the Coke and Pepsi logo to some new energy drinks(that taste remotely like their cola counterparts), then that would instantly attract the Coke/Pepsi diehards in another beverage rivalry.

I think he just means a souped-up version of Coke. Like more caffeine. Like JOLT used to be.

Pepsi has Amp, Adrenaline Rush, NO Fear and their sugar free versions.

And also Starbucks Doubleshot.

I work for CCE down here in Los Angeles and we recently picked up the Rockstar brand of energy drinks but we will not carry the energy cola like 7-up/RC did down here.
