Big Lots ends up being a dumping ground for outdated/discontinued/overproduced stuff.

Today, I found Briar's orange cream 1L keg bottles, Arizona pomegranate green tea, and other stuff. They also had Jolly Rancher green apple soda, but it was produced in mid-February, so I figured it was probably going to taste pretty weak, so I passed. I think it was around 3/$1.

Any interesting finds in your local Big Lots?

    Good Point,
When I go to Big Lots, which now is hardly ever as the Dollar Tree is so awesome, I have never found any of the soda pop or food to be fresh.

IMO If the items are not on their weekly sales adds than the most if not all the stuff on the shelf sits there to collect dust.

It's strange but when I go the Dollar Tree store, I can get 10 items in 10 seconds flat. The soda pop and food categories move quiet well. It's fun shopping there.

I shop at Big Lots all the time. I hardly ever find any soda there I'm interested in, but I've never had any that was expired or bad. I buy a lot of snack food there and never have had anything bad or expired.

I found Jolly Rancher sodas, and some Nehi Grape at Big Lots, but my biggest find was at the D'Tree - Carmel Apple Faygo.
    Previous name - Fufu Leth.

Big Lots is great. Although much of the soda I buy there is flat when I open it up.

Dollar Tree is even more incredible. I got Hansen's energy drinks there for a buck, which is a steal.

Only very rarely do they have anything worth buying.

I love buying drinks at Big Lots. I always find unique and weird beverages that I've never heard of and I like to try them. Plus, you can get a 20 oz. of something for 39 cents sometimes so it's a good bargain. I have rarely tasted anything that I didn't like either.

I buy a lot of stuff there, but almost never sodas.

Several years ago though, they were selling a lot of the multi-packs of Stewarts Creamy style Draft Cola. That was good stuff, and I ended up buying several cases of it.

That was a good cola. Too bad they stopped it.
