I suppose if I talked about this anywhere else I'd get laughed at. But I always thought it would be cool to own a soda shop. The store would stock only soda in all the usual flavours plus some exotic stuff too.

Around here, the grocery stores do a fairly decent job of stocking a variety of soda, but they never dedicate any cooler space to it. I would have rows and rows of coolers full of soda. It would be awesome. lol

I have thought the same exact thing!

I was thinking to carry every flavor of coke and pepsi brands as well as many unique glass bottled sodas. The main problem with this idea is it probably would not make enough money to keep it going.

On the other hand there is some soda pop stop or something in California. I went to there website and it seemed a lot like this idea.
It would be really fun to run a store like this anyway!

Yeah, I've thought about that too. My store would have pops from all around the world, but I guess you are right. It probably wouldnt make enough money to keep going. It's still fun to think about though.

Yep, thought about it as well. Another problem is keeping the stock fresh. If you have a hundred different sodas stocked and only a few customers a week, you know they won't buy some of all the brands. So, it'd be expensive to keep fresh soda on hand. That's my main concern... And to have to import these different, exotic sodas would really kill you on shipping.. wish there was an easy way to do this. Would be fun!

I've been wanting to do this too [img]smile.gif[/img] My area is big on "old time" stuff so I thought having items like hard-to-find candy and maybe even a classic soda fountain would be a nice touch.

Ok,this is a serious thought,(well in my demented way LOL). It all depends on the location, and in my opinion in a real busy Las Vegas Casino.

If it was near a tattoo shop, the Soda Pop Shop should be designed in the most bold way. I mean way over the top. Hot neon lights, loud theme music, extremely attractive ladies and beef cake men who kown the soda pop industry backwards and forwards and an expert host like Wonkapete dressed in an way,way, way, over the top soda pop coat like Elton John use to wear.

There would be a bar called the Bevy Gun. With as many kinds of soda drinks as possible for $4 dollars a 20oz glass cup.

There would be another bar named. Bottle Bonanza, consisting of 30 of the most exotic soda pops bottled currently across the world for sale for $8 a bottle.

This concept is purely impulse at first then when our name and concept get in the news ect. This store will be an attraction into it's own self.

Yes, I'm sober and not over indulged on Mt Dew. LOL
