Once again I don't see the need for another size of packaging. I do admit that I like this one so far. A 24-pack of Vault costs $5.98 while a 20-pack of Vault costs $4.15!! Thats only 4 fewer cans for about $1.75 less. I think it's a pretty good deal, but why a 20-pack? I just don't understand.

Here Coke puts out the 20pack only in Wal-Mart. From what I understand this package was created just for Wal-Mart because of Wal-Marts Price Comp program. If they are the only ones that have 20 packs then they never have to comp anyone on 24s. Here for example when Meijer would run 24pks at 3.98 for Coke, Wal-Mart would take a loss because they aren't getting the same price break that Meijer would get for that sale. Also here they just went up from $4.15 back to $4.97 and Pepsi from 4.98 to 5.98. When you do the math either way your paying about .25 cents per can....

I'm still waiting for 36 packs! I'm sure they'd be light as a feather.

I saw 30ct pks of Pepsi for the first time at Cosco in the NJ area over the weekend. Prior to then I had never seen a 30pk of any kind of soda.LOL

Coke has 32 pack cans for wholesale clubs. They're packaged in a cardboard tray like six pack cans are (just larger, of course). The cans are loose, and the boxes are completely shrinkwrapped. some of the shrinkwrap is clear, and some of it is colored (red for Coke, gold for CF Diet Coke, etc). Pepsi also has 36 can supercubes.

20 packs are actually an old idea. I remember Coke selling them when I was younger.

Some areas also sell 18 packs. We had them a few years ago in Maryland, didn't do that great.
