How is Bong Water allowed to name their product after an obviously drug related idea. I guess money talks and everything else walks is this what we are coming to in today's society is THE BOTTOM LINE letting things like this happen.

I don't know much about this product, and have never seen it in a store. I agree, we are stooping to low levels naming drinks suggestively like that. But I guess it is their first ammendment right to do so....

And to settle things, I see people saying that "Well Coke was so named because of the cocaine it contained back in the day." Well, that rumor is false and is an urban legend.

But I agree, products like Bong Water and Sum Poosie are a disgrace to the beverage community. Not that there is much you can do about it, other than not buying it, since it is their right to name their product whatever foolish name they can think of.

I didn't know that crap was still being made. Gimmick drinks like that don't last all that long, when people realise the drinks aren't very good, and it's not worth the price.

i dont think sex is nearly as obnoxious as drug themes, but even so- just let the products fail.

its not realyl the same situation because coca cola actually had the coca leaf in their product. bong water doesnt make any sense. it has "beer extract" so it would make sense to advertise using beer themes. but it advertises using marijuana. thats just stupid.

Well I'm not sure what the bottle looks like or the general theme with the water.. but if its just called "bong water" don't assume they decided to go after a drug culture with it... check the dictionary and you'll see the first entry is not for drugs.. but a deep ringing sound such as that from a bell... in wisconsin there is "bong recreational park" a national park on the registry.. they didn't create it for drug users who camp.. just today we assume the worst first. (granted I don't think anyone can argue sum possie, but maybe bong water is going to find out people will stereotype it as a negative instead of a positive)

But if you are marketing anything, you are well aware of any implications. Now since most people in society think "drugs" when they hear "bong" I can guarantee you that it is what they meant. It is a cheap marketing trick and of course will ultimately fail.

This drink can be located next to PIMP JUICE on the shelf at the local high school store. In my state these drinks are being sold at stores next to or in schools, and obviosly are targeting kids.

Obviously marketing to the "Bevis & Butthead" generation.

oh COME ON! "COCA-COLA" is a drug reference too.... and cocaine is WAY worse then pot.

Quit with the ultra-conservatism. Theres enough of it in Washington.
