What’s your favorite car insurance gimmick? The talking gecko? The gruff cowboy? What makes you feel the most automotive safety?

I like the new one from Mercury (www.mercurytheory.com). If you haven’t seen it they are making the claim that the owners of Mercury are from Mercury and they’ve got all the corroborative evidence including a 10X magnification of burnt toast (check out the slides) that proves everything. Makes me chuckle.

What in the world does this have to do with pop or any other beverage? LOL anyways, I liked the Geico commercials before the gecko. They were a bunch of cartoon characters making stupid decisions. I remember one where the guy stole a bone from really big dog and the dog ate him. I don't remember the slogan or anything they said but I thought they were pretty funny. They should bring those back. Some of the gecko commercials they are making now really aren't appealing to me.
