From what I gather Code Red does well in some areas while being a real dog in others. I would agree that Pepsi is not gonna let it go for awhile but I do think that its going to slip further and further with a slow fade-out like SURGE or Vanilla Coke. Actually VC seems like it would be a good case study for Code Red both are from a similar launch date and both were very front-loaded. Still at its axing VC was doing quite a bit better than Code Red. Still Coke needed to clear out VC for BCVC while Code Red has no such restriction. Despite the fact that Code Red seems to be on its way out there is no doubt in my mind that it was a successfull extension for Pepsi which can't be said for all of them. Clearing out Code Red will also allow for a new extension- one that is more focused on current trends.
