In particular, the cane sugar sweetened variety? I see no expiration date on my WJ Dr Peppers. I never remember seeing a date on the Dublins either. I would guess it would be a good deal longer than plastic.

I ask because we are down to four cases of WJ DP. It should be gone by mid-April. I would like to get more than I did this time, the next time I go up that way. But I don't want so much that it starts to get "funky" before it is all consumed. With gas prices the way they are, roadtrips are kind of a thing of the past.

I bought some 12oz PET bottles of Dr Pepper the other day and tried to substitute it in place of a glass [img]redface.gif[/img] This was the first time I have tried to drink Dr Pepper right out of a plastic bottle since I bought the WJ DP...it wasn't a very pleasant taste. I can drink it over ice, but right out of plastic, it tasted pretty nasty

Stored in a dark, cool place I would say a year (this is my personal opinion and I'm sure others would say longer).

Post the code on the bottle and I'm sure someone will be able to tell you when it was bottled.

At least a year if stored properly.

I remember the cane sugar Pepsi AD Huesing bottled a few years ago had a one year date stamped on the crown cap.

I bought AD Heusing Pepsi for years and I don't think I ever saw one with a date more than 9 months. Here's a cap from the final run of bottles in 2001 - Bottled on 11/21/01, expired 08/26/02. (Memphis Missouri was always 9 months too.)

Thanks for the info. So it seems like 9 months is by the book, but it will probably still be fine at a year.

All of my WJ stuff was bottled on like the 11th or 14th of November 2005 if I am reading it right. The bottle in front of me says "0953WJ11115." Next time I think I will be ok to buy about twice what I did last time.

I agree with you. According to my finger counting method the batch becomes 9 months old in the month of August.

Gee...that is one appetizing bottle. I'm craving a cold DP just looking at it. I can imagine sitting out in old country house porch some where in a small Texas town; just knocking down of few ice cold bottles of DP. Lord what a visual. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I was just going by memory 9 months is probably correct. I still have a few bottles left from the last run, I'll have to check it out.
