First off I hate diet soda, but now let me contradict myself!

I recently had a can of diet coke sweetend with splenda and for some reason I kinda liked it. This is especially strange since I hate Splenda. There was something about that bitter nasty splenda aftertaste that I kinda liked. That acidic taste was actually sort of pleasing to my taste buds.

Although this experience is werid for me because I like regular, I think this may be why you either like reg. and hate diet or like diet and hate regular. The diet drinkers are accustomed to the not so sweet bittery acid taste and cannot stand the sweetness of regular soda. The regular drinkers like the full flavored sweetness of reg and hate the no sweet bad aftertasting. My theory is if you made yourself drink diet for about a month you would like it and not like regular.

Anyway this does not necessarily explain why diet with splenda suddenly tasted good too me.
