How big of warehouse would I need to store 10k cases of a 12 oz. beverage?

What would you guys say is the minimum square footage needed to accomodate that many cans?

A 3'x4' pallet will hold 12 24 pk cases per layer 12 high (generally) which equals 144 cases. 2 pallets stacked will hold 288 and be approx. 10 ft. tall. Don't know building codes in your neck of the woods but in Ok you must have a minimum of 18 inches clearance below the fire ext. so if you have a 12' ceiling that is all you can stack. If the 2000 sf is a 40x50 given you allow for manuvering a forklift, cherry picker you should be able to get I would say 8 wide(40') and at least 8 deep(50') for a total of 64 single or 128 double stacked for a total of 9216 or 18432. so the answer would be YES I believe that would fit. You might have to do some hand stacking if you are only 1 pallet high to get the other 800 cases on top of the pallets but it would only be a layer or so per pallet. Hope this helped.

No that is the size of a blue chep pallet. actually I think they are like 3'2" x 4'. A Pepsi pallet is usually 3'6" x 3', they do have some that are 3 x 3 though no as common around here anyway.

i should go measure miller's plastic pallets, the same ones that swire coke uses.

we can stack 24pk cans in 7s, 12pk fridgies and the normal 3*4s in 7.5s (every two rows equals 15cases), miller bottles get stacked in 8s, 18pk bottles are in 10s and 30pk cans are stacked in rows of 13s. there's never gaps or holes in the middle like i see on pop pallets.

I wanna say Miller pallets are 2'8" x 3' I may be mistaken though. I did not specify that the 12 case of 24 pack cans were suitcases not cube packaging. However it Has been awhile since I have had to stack anything on a grocery pallet. I may be off on my case tie.
