I decided to pop into a nearby 'everything's a dollar' type store, just to see what kind of sodas they had, if any. Lots of flavors of Stars and Stripes, not too unusual. I've been seeing Stars and Stripes everywhere lately. They're becoming the new 'Shasta' around here. There were some cases of diet Stinger energy drinks, blah blah blah....... but behind it, I saw something ....... bizarre. Several 12-packs of Ale-8-1! In Texas! How did "Kentucky's Soft Drink" get all the way out here in the Lone Star state? Only $1.50, too! Terrible packaging, though. The yellow cases with the white and red logo aren't too appealing to look at. And they expire on July 26th. But who cares, i'm just happy to have found something so unusual.
