I'm not sure if that was a joke. But either way despite my casual dislike of the channel I plan on tuining in. I wonder if they will focus more on the early years or the more recent time?

So far on American Eats they have covered snack foods and food pioneers and have gone from the beginning to current.

Mr. Zabe....Do you remeber the show hosted by Dick Cavett( I know that dates me) called "Time Was...." Each week he would detail a decade, say for instance the 20's and then the 30's the next week. Great show.

Another oldie but goodie that used to run on TLC I believe, or maybe THC actually was "Connections" In this show the host spent 30 minutes detailing the connections to an end product from other inventions throughout time. Sometimes he could connect how say a transistor was made possible because of an invention 500 years ago.It was a domino effect circumstance, each invention and discovery worked on top of another. Another Great show.
