Honickman Canada Dry doesn't push 16.9oz that much, they don't even produce them themselves (they buy them from Independent, DPSUBG-Columbus OH, or Davis).

They still run a lot of can ads - this past weekend they had 6 packs 10/$10 at Acme. And the week before it was 5/$10 12 packs.

What's odd is that their Baltimore production (Beverage Capital) still produces 20oz 6pks for retail sale.

It's the same here with 2-liters. Usually, you can get them for 99 cents, $1.09 at the most, but 3/$4 is just too much!!

I've noticed that 12-packs are $2.99 at Sunoco gas stations. I'm going to go by tommorow and pick a few up.

The store that sells short dated beverages always has good deals on 12-packs. Thankfully, there are very, very few 12-packs that are actually short dated. It's just 20oz bottles, and some e-drinks.

PA min wage went up to 6.25 jan 1st and goes up to 7.15 in the summer
So I imagine some prices will go up, hopefully vending machines stay at 1.25, man I miss when 20oz were normally 1 buck

I don't think that minimum wage will affect soda prices - everyone working in the industry already makes more than that.

The problem is that raw material prices are out of control, and without any additional help from the soda companies, the bottlers have to raise prices to cover these increased costs.

The corner store has to make up for the new wages so the prices have to go up on chips and soda.

3/4 is an everyday price here on 2 liters, it has been for almost a year now. The sticker shock wears off after a couple of weeks. 3/9 is a decent 12 pk ad here most ads are 3/10.

we don't really run 2 liters on ad, normal 12pk price is in 3.99 range, 24 pk are in the 6.58-6.99 range with a 5.99 a "hot" ad. 6 Pk 24oz are 3.99 everyday or more with a smoking hot ad price of 4/10 usually not ran but once every other month or so.

It may appear high but the market supports the pricing so they (pbg,cc,cs) charge it. Funny thing is that OKC PBG was 300,000 plus over volume plan, just under 10% increase, and profit was over a million, the entire OK market unit (all of OK plus some of AR) was 20,000 + on volume and around 100,000 on profit with all others having lower retail costs.

If what you did yesterday still looks big, you haven't done much today.
