I live in Cheyenne,Wyoming and every year since like that past 113 years they have Cheyenne frontier days and i hate it beacause they raise the price of everything especially gas and soda. A twelve pack of Mt.dew was 2.25 it was 4.99 this whole f*****g week just because of some tourists watching a rodeo.
Is it me or is that lame?
Life is MUCH sweeter on the DEW side!

No,you would think the local merchants would make more money during the rodeo week selling soda pop at normal pricing. If I were a local yocal, I would take my soda pop business to another town or big box store.

Knowing this would happen, I'd just stock up beforehand - or drive down to Fort Collins and shop there. I do a lot of shopping in Cheyenne but I avoid the town during Frontier Days.

Is this the grocery stores, like King Soopers or Wal Mart or just the mom and pop, 7-11 type places?
Sorry, I can not believe that every retailer is jacking their prices to "get" the tourist and "screw" the local.

Awwww. They are just trying to make a little more money and pay the bills. Cut 'um some slack man. You know the drill. Buy your stuff ahead of time and let retailes take advantage of tourists. It puts money in your local guys pockets.
