I have a question for everyone regarding the premium tea market (hot tea, all kinds -- black, green, fruit/herbal, etc). Do you think it would be possible for a small, premium tea brand to succeed in the mass retail market? I ask because I am doing an assessment of the US tea market for a business school project, and I am yet to find a truly premium tea that has been successfully launched on a mass retail level. I do not consider Hain Celestial Seasonings to be truly premium, and smaller brands, such as Numi, are available either online or in specialty shops. I am curious if others have an opinion on this, especially since my scope of search has been only through online databases.
Thank you.
