IMO it's really plain compared with the current one in the rest of world... but at a certain point, it looks like they gave it a retro style...

    What do you think?

yeah. very retro. very 1970s coca-cola.

EXCEPT... they're using the newer, flatter coke zero dynamic ribbon. it doesn't have the arc of the classic ribbon.

personally, i don't think they should mess with the ribbon. it's like changing the coca-cola script. it shouldn't be tampered with.

    I love it!

The pacakging is clean and simple, and looks like Coca Cola again!

Is this just for Japan, or are we going to see it here in the US? It's been 4 years since the current can has been out, is change coming?

Also, why doesn't Coke in Japan use it's Japaneese script?

I don't think so, cause if you see the japanese Coca-Cola website, the packagings of Sprite, Fanta, Cherry Coke, Canada Dry and Powerade are completely different from the rest of the world... but who knows? maybe in the future they will adapt the Coca-Cola Classic logo with the new american Coca-Cola Zero logo... but let's hope they don't do that cause I like the three-colored dynamic ribbon logo better

I like the one color ribbon as well. I'm old school. IMO the three color ribbon distracts my eye from the script.

Well, one would assume it's coming to the US, based on that press release. It's certainly retro.. maybe too retro?

and Coca-Cola won't be the only one that changes packaging in Japan, next April Diet Coca-Cola will be renamed as "Non-Caloric Coca-Cola" and also Coca-Cola Zero will be released in Japan next June...

I also love this new look. I really hope it comes to the US. I also think the US should get that aluminum bottle can package that they have in Japan.
