Okay, so I'm sitting here a few minutes ago, drinking a glass bottle of Frostie Root Beer. (I haven't drank much in the way of non-diet sodas lately, but I've had a urge for root beer, and it's available in town at the local Pamida store in 4pck glass bottles) Anyway, when I got halfway done with it, I noticed the date code - which happens to be on the side of the bottle instead of the neck. It was bottled on 7068 - that's March 9th 2007. Then it says "Best by 090508" - Sep 05 2008??
Okay, that's a year and a half, like 78 weeks. My question is - is this a misprint or does this amber-bottle HFCS-sweetened root beer really last that long? Or should it have been 2007, for a 6 month expiration?
