Polar Beverages of Worcester, Massachusetts has recently introduced a new line of sodas sweetened with cane sugar.
I spotted the 6 packs of glass bottles in a couple of different supermarkets in the Boston area. I checked the company's website (Polar Beverages, Inc. - Home Page) for info about the new products, but nothing was there other than their longtime offerings. I wrote to customer service and this is what I was sent in reply: Thank you for your interest in Polar Beverages new line of Classics. As a fourth-generation, family-owned company, we are always interested in hearing from our customers. In honor of Polar Beverages 125 th Anniversary Celebration, we have introduced a line of Polar Classics Premium sodas. The Classic line is bottled in old-fashioned long neck glass bottles. Flavors available are root beer, black cherry, vanilla cream, orange cream and diet root beer. Polar's Classics are made with cane sugar and contain no high fructose corn syrup. I bought a six pack of Root Beer, and I think it is pretty good, somewhat similar to Hank's. The bottles themselves are very similar to Boylan's, with a painted label rather than a sticker. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
