Just goes to show how 4.1 billion dollars buys you better formulas for your company, I am wondering if that stolen coke formula was worth selling, at least coke can claim that they produce excellent thieves amongst the ranks. But it makes sense to steal formulas from the opposition not in house, maybe they need better training, could of saved them 4.1 billion in actual fact.

WOW, you are way off base.
First off, The stolen Coke formula was for a CSD. That is Cokes core competency, same as Pepsi. 2nd, The people that stole the "formula" are dumb a$$'s. The price they requested was rediculous and screamed of incompetence. They sold themselves short on the price. Coke does not produce thieves, there just happened to be one among them.

Coke made a business decision to buy a company that is successful in the beverage segment that Coke does not have expertise in. Glaceau has built a huge following in CSD alternatives. With the ever decreasing CSD category Coke chose to "buy in" instead of waiting to "build up" success.

i'm not exactly sure why, but Illusionh20 has some kind of anti-coke/pepsi "agenda".

clearly, soda is an indulgence... but in a free society (like ours) people are free to make choices for themselves.

why is that so hard for some people to accept...?
