I found a Mexican Coke article a few Sundays ago. Says Costco in California carries it and that Costco is looking at stocking it in stores in Texas and Washington state. Quoted someone form Coca-Cola Bottling Co of California who said they have sold it for years because they "want to give the customer what they want".
Coke says there is no difference between the real sugar and corn syrup versions. The author rounded up 33 high school sophmores and juniors and ran a taste test using Mexican Coke from glass and American Coke from 20oz plastic. Every taster could tell there was a difference between the Mexican sample and American sample. Mexican won out by a narrow margin of 17 to 16.

Really? Even the part about the taste test with high schoolers? Hmmm.

Our workplace soda tasting crew had a blind taste test of MexiCoke/KFP Coke/Coke Classic followed by MexiPepsi/KFP Pepsi/Pepsi about a month ago (with the last of my KFP soda) in an attempt to put the cane vs. corn debate to rest. MexiCoke was the runaway favorite, followed by KFP Coke with Coke Classic bringing up the rear. KFP Pepsi won, followed by Pepsi. MexiPepsi was dreadful. Because we had so many tasters, we didn't have enough product to do a head-to-head between MexiCoke and KFP Pepsi. Maybe next Spring.

Cane sugar is the gold standard of sweetners and IMO once the
post baby boomers try it (mass market), they will demand nothing but

We used to have two Ginger Ale sodas: Canada Dry bottled by Cadbury Schwepps and Seagram's bottled by PBG, but PBG dropped Seagram's a few months ago (probably because of the joint venture with Coca-Cola) and now PBG bottles Canada Dry... so the only ginger ale soda we have here is Canada Dry...
