    Default Dr.Pepper Snapple Group

WHEW!! I don't know about you guys but I sure am glad I didn't have to sit through crueling meetings of throwing names up against the wall to finally get to this one!!!

Seriously though,,,,I wonder why they dropped the 7up name plate. I always referred to CSAB as Dr. Pepper/7up anyway.

They should have chosen a better name. What about all the other beverages they sell?

And I guess this means Coke isn't in the running for Snapple, if it's part of the new company name?

    I agree with Fusion.
The new name is confusing at best.
IMO the name should be Snapple DPC (Doctor Pepper Company),
    7up DPC and so on.

About time they gave some recognition to the Snapple brand. I'm excited about the new company and the fact that the focus will be on beverages. No more second fiddle to the confectionary. Time to grow!!!!!!!!

i still wish coke would've got ahold of snapple, but... oh well... it doesn't really matter that much.

as for the name change... it's probably because "snapple" is a much more modern, popular brand than 7up. i mean, i almost never see anyone drinking or buying 7up... though i do still see it on shelves here and there.

I would have gone with something more inclusive of all the brands. American Beverages would have been fine, or something like "United Independent Brands" or something like that.
