Tried it and I really like it. its got a nice sour bite to it initially followed by sweet and a little kick at the end. Much better than I thought it was going to be. Definitely would get it again.

Over the weekend I found a bottle of Squirt Citrus Power at our local Jewel-Osco. They had it in one of those "check this out" displays near the checkout. So, of course, I grabbed my camera and took a photo next to a tree!

I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine, so the energy drink thing isn't always my ideal choice, but I was curious about this flavor... mainly because I happen to enjoy the different taste of normal Squirt. It was nice to see that that remained, minus the aftertaste, which was quite different... though I couldn't really pinpoint what that really meant. Let's just say "more energy drinkish", shall we?

It's got quite a bit of a jump in caffeine (9.1 mg/oz.), plus the addition of taurine and B vitamins (four to be exact: B3, B5, B6, and B12!) What I found most intriguing, however, was the marketing aspect. Namely that this doesn't look like an energy drink. It looks more like a normal bottle of Squirt... just with some modifications. That would seem to indicate going after the casual market (of course, that approach didn't seem to work so well for the similarly-marketed Mountain Dew MDX, now did it?)

Still, it's a decent outing from Cadbury Schweppes, DPSU, Dr Pepper Snapple, or whatever the heck we're calling the company these days! If you are interested, I posted a more robust review as well.

Knowing that this is pitched by the non-Coke/Pepsi guys, what sort of success/failure do you see with this product?

Amazing... but that will never happen here where I live, here there's only on sale regular Squirt and Squirt Light (now sweetened with Splenda)... a few years ago in Mexico City and some other cities it was released Squirt Citrus (Squirt mixed with orange, mandarin and lemon) but never released it here...
