    Default Dull Soda Pop Summer?

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the summer of
2008 has been a very dull soda pop season? Nothing new
or exciting to speak off. Is the soda pop segment down from
    last year?

I was just thinking the same thing myself, we haven't really had anything new since the Dewmocracy flavors came out.

The whole industry is down... not a good time to really be in the soda business, due to rising costs (corn syrup, gas) and lower demand.

I really miss the Sprite Remix line and the Mello Yello flavor extentions. Another great idea would be if Coke released about 12 new flavors of Fanta only in 6-pack cans. They could make a great promotional endcap at a special price. They could call it "Fanta Summer Fun Flavors"

I wish they'd put Fanta Birch Beer in cans, it would sell well around here, this is birch beer country (well, more in eastern PA than here).

    And a cherry Sprite.

Here in Mexico in the soda market we had some releases of special edition sizes like the 16 oz. Coke can conmemorating the olympic games, the release of the new bottle of Manzana Lift in all its sizes, and the launch of Pepsi's H2OH! water with a hint of Kas Grapefruit soda, also in the beverage market there had been some releases like Ciel+ mandarin flavor with guarana extract and the new packaging design of Powerade...

but did anyone saw before this new label of Vault Zero? here's a pic I found at Flickr...

Last summer you had Pepsi Summer Mix and Sierra Mist Summer Squeeze as well. This year, besides the "DEWmocracy 3", we had Sierra Mist Undercover Orange, but that's about it.
