Where I live, we didn't get the throwbacks until 2 weeks ago here in WV. I tried the pepsi throwback and it wasn't to bad. I haven't tried the mountain dew yet.

I had a friend try the Mountain Dew Throwback that I brought back from Nevada yesterday - he's a Dew drinker (I'm not). He thought it tasted kid of bland/weak.

I thought MD TB was a touch less sweet and was missing the
citrus carbonation kick that makes gives MD it's signiguare taste.

If you use Twitter, we've been taking advantage of the #Throwback hashtag to help share locations and post questions on where to find Throwback. I wrote up a tutorial on how to do that here.

Pepsi had been pointing folks to their official product finder, but frankly it doesn't work very well. They've started to officially support the Twitter #Throwback hashtag as well to help track the beverage down.

Unlike all the garbage in the news lately about the pointlessness of Twitter (which, personally, is just bad reporting), this type of "crowdsourcing" using the service has actually been a very effective way to use it.

Whereabouts in Colorado? I ask because you say "1 mile east of the Rockies" but there are two bottlers that I know of that fit that description - Colorado Springs area, or Denver( which handles the entire rest of the eastern half of the state.)

    Hey guys,

Well, from the "oddest thing happened to me today" category... While at work today, I got a call from the folks at NPR's "All Things Considered" program, asking if I'd be open to briefly discussing the Throwbacks on the air.

    I'm like, seriously?

Well, the segment ran this afternoon. If you'd like to listen, I posted an audio archive over on BevReview.com.

I welcome the mocking comments about my voice, nitpicks about the details, and other sarcastic remarks!

But, to be honest, it was kinda cool!
