    Venting over.
I wish I could remember the taste. My earliest memory of Pepsi was Pepsi Free that my parents forced my brother and I to drink back in the '80s. I do remember pre-new Coke Coca Cola though.

I'm glad to hear of the return. I am down to about 48 cans of the stuff I drink about one can a day, so I should be able to find more by the time I run out.

I'm a Dr Pepper drinker, always have been. But I haven't had but maybe 2 or 3 Dr Peppers since Pepsi Throwback came out.

Check the "born on" date though, Throwback should be a 9-month product, so April 2010 would have been produced in July, that's 2 months ago. Here in Wyoming, they did their last run on June 24 with an expriation of 03-24-10.

Also... wasn't the next incarnation of the Throwback supposed to have different graphics? I think you might be seeing carryover from the "initial" run.

It is the "initial" run. It was gone from area stores by mid summer. None on the shelves and none in Pepsi 12 pack lobby or endcap displays. Just after Labor Day it has shown up again with large quantities in 12 pack diplsays and back in supermarkets Pepsi 12 pack sets.

Off topic, but what all areas have 8-packs? This is the only packaging I have ever seen the Throwbacks in.

Parts of California have 8 packs, I've seen them in some grocery ads out there.

All of Florida and parts on California have or have had 8pks. By and large I think the test was a flop. I heard that some channels and some specific customers did well with them, but pretty much with everyone else Pepsi lost significant share to coke.

It must have not been too much of a flop for Pepsi to bring back Throwback Pepsi and Mountain Dew on the 28th of December for 8 weeks... can't wait ..!!!

On the Coke side, Sams Warehouse down here in Florida has 24 pack of 12oz bottles called "Coke Mexico" which is absolutely great with the natural sugar

Sorry, I meant the 8pks were a flop, not the Throwbacks. Throwback did awesome in our neck of the woods...I can't wait either.

Default Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback

In the Orlando area it seems that the initial response was positive. To bring them back for a second time would indicate that.

On the side topic of the Mexican Coke in Sam's Club, does anyone know if this is a trial run or a permanent thing.
