Hey guys... I just got off the phone with a
PR rep from Pepsi. I sent them an e-mail with some questions I had about the Throwback drinks (along with questions that I had seen posted on BevReview). They were nice enough to give me a call back and shoot some info my way.
The big takeaway is that the cool retro design that
Pepsi_Man posted doesn't seem to be the final, per the folks I talked to at Pepsi North America. Instead, they are using the older designs discovered in the trademark filings. (They sent me images of the bottles and cans...

Some other facts they provided to my Q&A:
- Available in 20-oz. plastic bottles & 12-pack cans. Sorry, no glass!
- Official release date is April 20, then available for 8 weeks
- Sweetened with a MIX of cane sugar & beet sugar
- NOT the same formula as Kosher Pepsi. Throwback is NOT Kosher
- Per Pepsi: "These products were not created because of any health concerns re: HFCS."
- "As we 'refresh everything', we want to give nod to fun things of the past"

I'm really bummed about the design news, personally.
