Useless piece of info, but I worked at Randhurst for a while in the mall's leasing office right out of college (had nothing to do with my education, but one of those temp jobs that turned into a part-time gig). It's interesting to see how they are converting that place to a lifestyle center.

Does anyone know where this can be found in Southern California, specifically San Diego? I called the local bottler here and their customer service didn't even know what the product was. I guess possibly I could be a bit more patient but I've been looking forward to this for awhile. Any help is appreciated!

Well, the throwbacks have made it into the Nashville area. I picked-up a 12pk of Pepsi and a 20oz of dew (not a dew drinker).
I let the Pepsi get nice and cold overnight and prepared for my comparison the next day. There is a huge difference in current-day Pepsi and the Throwback version.
The throwback doesn't punch you in the face with that Pepsi sweetness. Also, I don't really know how to describe it but the throwback is less carbonated???
It goes down smooth but it seems almost "flat". Not in taste but in fizz???
Anyways, it does bring back memories even though I grew up at the switch to HFCS era. There were places where we could still get sugar Pops.
I'm going to stick with the Throwback over HFCS Pepsi. I hope it becomes permanent. As for the throwback Dew, I haven't tasted it yet. I'm not a Dew drinker but maybe throwback will get me to sip on some from time to time.Pepsi-Cola for Life!!!

Over the weekend, found a case of Mountain Dew Throwback cans. I still have not had success finding bottles, however.
Compared to Pepsi Throwback, I'd there there's a lot more of a difference between HFCS Dew and Throwback Dew vs. its cola sibling. As has been noted elsewhere in the forums, could that be because of the lack of orange juice... or something else. Comparing the ingredient lists, the differences are far greater than with the Pepsi Throwback situation.
I liked the cleaner, citrus flavor of the Throwback. It did seem like it had less of a punch and carbonation, however. And the aftertaste was a bit off... almost diet in nature, which just seemed a little goofy to me. I really wonder how much of the Dew observations between HFCS and Throwback come from so much Dew "conditioning" with the existing product.
I should also note that I launched a little crowdsourcing experiment using Twitter to help folks track down Throwbacks. Not sure if it will work or not, but figured it would be something worth trying.

Just noticed Mtn Dew has Concentrated OJ as an ingredient + throwback doesnt. This may more clearly explain the taste difference.

Ok, call me goofy. LOL
Has anyone had tummy/IBS problems since drinking TP Pepsi or TB MD.
I have been drinking several bottles a day. My system has been all messed up.
Could it be a sugar over load or caffeine problem?
Greg, any thoughts?Don't worry, be happy. Meher Baba
