Got a 12-pack at Walmart last night. Doesn't taste like a diet at all, probably the sweetest tasting diet pop I've ever had. I'm a fan of all the diet Mountain Dews, but this is probably the best one yet.

So was White Flash just an alternate name for Ultra Violet or should we expect another Diet Dew flavor.

I think White Flash was another flavor that was tested alongside Ultra Violet. Perhaps it didn't test as well, or maybe they're saving it for a later date.
Oddly, I've seen 50% off coupons for 20 oz. bottles of Ultra Violet at several C-stores, but I haven't actually seen the bottles. I did, however, find 12-packs at Wal-Mart. I feel like these Dew flavors are starting to blend into each other - this tastes like some combination of Pitch Black, Revolution, Voltage, and Alliance Blue Game Fuel. But hey, I liked all those flavors, and it's good to have a diet alternative. And it doesn't taste "diety" as others have noted.

Would you believe that I started this thread all the way back in April based on a trademark search? How far we've come

I was able to track down some Ultra Violet today (by the way, what's the official spelling? Pepsi's press release spells it as one word -- UltraViolet -- but all their other materials break it into two words).
Insert traditional "beverage next to a tree photo here":
Anyway, my thoughts... This isn't too bad. Yes, it's diet, thus you'll get the aftertaste, but it's a tolerable diet. To me, it tasted a lot like Revolution... anyone else get that impression? The berry flavor was not as strong as you'd find in Voltage, but more subtle... very generic and unidentifiable.
It would seem to be a nice expansion for the Diet Dew line, but that's gonna be based on some decent marketing. With only 10 weeks, and given Pepsi's inability to market pretty much anything well these days, I'm skeptical... though I'd like to see it succeed.

It's interesting how the bottle says "a flash" of flavor. Maybe White Flash was just another proposed name for this flavor rather than a different one.

Found 12 packs and 20oz at Acme here in Northern DE today. Cans produced July 27th, 20oz on August 3rd, both at the Philadelphia production plant.
