I was hoping someone out there might have some insight into the airport concession market (ie. HMS Host, SSP, Delaware North Companies etc...).

Being airports, prices are astronomical on all goods, but we were wondering:

a) how many markup stages are there - would HMS Host act as a distributor, markup the beverages they buy from us and sell them to their concessions, who would then also mark them up? Or would they only be marked up the one time?

b) does anyone know if they expect the same margins as the rest of the industry - or do they expect a much higher markup margin available?

Any help or expertise on cracking into this market would be appreciated!
