That new Dew one looks a bit like a photoshop to me, especially with that generic Cooper typeface for "Throwback".

Would be interesting if they used the original logo, but I honestly don't think they want to be remembered for their pre famous hillbilly stuff. Because the brand started to get a real national following after all that.
I know during 1991 they were test marketing or issued special edition cans of Mountain Dew with a water creek, trees, mountains and the word "the original" under the name.

Yep, usasoda has them on his site. And if you scroll down to the diet section at the bottom, they released that design in diet as well.
Mountain Dew
They were produced by two canning cooperatives, Wis-Pak in WI and Carolina Canners in SC.

I'm glad they're bringing it back. It did well where I am and it tastes great. Can't wait for it to return. This is awesome news.

It's official, they're using the hillbilly graphics. Beverage Digest tweeted it the other day.

My boss called me to tell me that his Pepsi sales rep told him they were bringing back Pepsi and Mountain Dew Throwback...
... and this time, there's going to be a Dr. Pepper Throwback?!?
Anyone heard any such thing? Where's the drooly smiley?

Throwback is a good thing....
Personally, I enjoy Throwback. Cane sugar items ARE a good thing.
