Ruby Red Squirt did disappear from my area and most of SoCal about 6-7 years ago. It finally reappeared here this winter when Coke's bottling contract with Squirt in my area ran out and the 7UP bottler of SoCal started bottling Squirt. Coke now bottles Fanta Grapefruit in my area and coincidentally Pepsi released its Citrus Blast at about the same time. We went from having one mainstream HFCS grapefruit soda to having three in less than a months time, plus a return of a long lost extension. So many sodas to try, so little time
