Hype's new flavour is about to be launched, I got a chance to review it and I think it's pretty good. I opened it and it smelled of redbull, I was instantly disappointed because I thought for sure it was another RedBull clone and it puzzled me why Hype would do that. I took a sip and realized it doesn't taste a thing like Redbull, it's really refreshing and easy to drink, it's like their original formula but changed a bit and sweetened. They also loaded it up with Taurine, glucuronolactone, and a load of vitamins. Plus the can looks super bad-ass.

Anyway, just giving you guys a heads up.

Also, I'm wondering, have any of you even heard of / tried Hype? Seems to be predominantly a Canadian thing.

Originaly carried Hype when I was the "beverage manager" at 7-11 when I was in High School back in 96-97. I brought in Hype as it came out just after Red Bull. By comparison, sold ok then. Red Bull was only selling a few cases per week, as was Hype. But since then I haev only seen Hype in a few stores because it just sits out here now.

I've tried Hype and actually really like it. It's hard to find. I would love to try Hype Gold and the new flavor but have been unable to get them.

Hype MFP is made only for the Canadian Hype distributor. They were basically struggling with their "guarana/ginseng only" based formula so they had to come up with something better. The only thing I find the MFP has going on for itself is the carbon-fiber look on the can. Other than that, another RB ingredient line with some extra ginseng and guarana. I think they're going to struggle with this one too..

I hope they don't phase out Hype Classic. Because I enjoy that immensely.
