Good for about an hour. Not much kick. Cup of coffee would probably work as well.

What, you want a pickmeup that will will hit you hard, keep you wide awake, then "shut off" in one hour? So you can then go back to sleep like nothing happened? I'm not sure if there's -any- drink that'll do that. You might be better off pouring a pitcher of ice cubes into your pants, that might last an hour....

arreat89 has a great idea. Why not invent a drink that only gives you 1 hours worth of energy. The time release would obviously have to be pharmaceutical with "half lifes" compounds and such to overcome personal metabolisms so it would need some tweeking to be sure. However, just think of the volume you could do. You could sell someone that needs energy for an 8 hour work shift 8 of these drinks!!!!!
Oh wait....I think Monster is working on their personal sized 64 oz/2 ltr size....Nevermind.
