Energy drink pushes for carbon offsets

Although the story does say it is a tongue in cheek marketing ploy it did have me start to wonder.
If it is true that sales were $150mm last year how many 8oz aluminum cans does that equate to? And, if you can only buy it online that means that most people are buying a case or two which means more cardboard used to wrap the product, more fuel to transport the product to several locations, more paper used for labeling of shipping address, more carbon used due to the use of electricity to run the computers used to make all those labels, etc, etc.
Seems to me that MLM is BAD for the environment! LOL
