I am searching for any information on FrostTop rootbeer. There was one in brown county Ohio, between Williamsburg, OH and Mt Orab, OH when I was a kid and I want to learn more about it. As far as I now it was opened in the early to mid 60's and closed sometime in the mid 70's. Any information I can get on if it was a franchise, who owned it, etc... would be appreciated.

frostop rootbeer is still bottled in 16oz bottles in michigan by Intrastate Distributors, Detroit Michigan. There information is available on Yahoo! Yellow Pages. I don't know where you are, but for sure, try the fowlerville exit off of I-96 in michigan. there's a shell station that carries it. It's hard to find because they also bottle the Dad's root beer in the same size.

reply if you need more info.

According to root-beer.org, here is who owns Frostop:

    C-B Beverage Corp
    32 10th Ave S # 213, Hopkins, MN 55343
    Phone: (952) 935-9905

They also make Cock N Bull Ginger Beer.

There are also Frostop drive-ins still out there. Do a search for Frostop with Google.

A&W in Washington manufactures it in 1 liter PET. You can find it around the NW states.

A&W bottles Frostop in the NW? It shows what they think of recent A&W products!

No wonder I saw a Frostop bottle in Winco time to time the past year. A&W of Everett does that. The same bottling company does longnecks of Vernors, A&W, Big Red, etc. Brian Web site for frostop is as follows: http://www.frostop.com

Irishpepsi, Thanks for that link. It brought back some great memories of the Frostop I went to as a kid! I wish their gift shop was open.

Your welcome, PopNutz. Yeah, I spotted and memorized the web site when I spotted the Frostop in front checkout cooler. Smile hope you'll enjoy it. I haven't yet get to taste it. Will soon. Brian
