was in a 7-11 and saw boo koo 24 oz @ $2.79. owner said it was selling great but he just got rockstar 24oz in and it would be retailing for $1.99. he said the intro cost was $1.00! looks like my monster may have to wait to be #2. anyways, what does everyone think of the 24oz energy drinks. i think rockstar will send boo koo packing their bags.

This 24oz RS is really going somewhere! I'm amazed at the acceptance of the consumer. What a value, it is really hurting RB and my monster!

RS 24 oz has started selling well, but mainly in place of the 16 oz. Overall sales of RS have only gone up slightly in my stores. My RB numbers are still up, so they must be taking away from the BooKoo sales or something.

So far they are still up. For the company and in our area. All my stores keep telling me, "Hey, RockStar is beating you, you have to come out with new can" But I am still bringing in bigger orders than RS and more cases than the same time last year and the previous month. Stores are not noticing that its mainly all the other drinks that RS is hurting. Taking from Monster and Lost, and taking a lot form the smaller companies like Go Fast and Jones and Pimp Juice. I like that RS is staying pro-active, and I know they are taking a little bit of our busines, but not enough for the company to start freaking out.

The sleeping giant, rb. No new inovation will lead to staleness. i've seen more and more younger consumers purchasing RS, monster and go fast.

Funny you say that Monster, I have noticed the very same thing. I don't want to start anything on this board but I have noticed a shift in my area to several different brands of energy drinks. Unlike prior years people seem to be looking for something other than Red Bull. I am sure they are doing fine but I have noticed a shift.

People do like to try new things...part of what I see is that the other 50 edrinks are starting to get weeded out and the catagory is keeping the main 5 brands, and only a couple other guys. That is leading to strong sales for Monster and RS and Sobe NF.

Ron, have you seen the beer numbers? budweiser is slipping fast. they have been sitting on there pot of gold but failed to change when the buying consumers wanted change. RB is in that same position that AB was. RB will continue with no changes, continue to try to drive out the competition with there marketing programs, and will hit the wall soon. too much good stuff out there! tanks BN for no email! Bye all!
